Email Migration For Outlook Express

This document applies to users using @vzpacifica.net and @gtepacifica.net email addresses only.
  • Open your Outlook Express. Click on Tools, Accounts. A new window "Internet Accounts" will pop-up.

  • Highlight your mail.vzpacifica.net profile, then click on the "Properties" button.

  • Change the profile name to mail.pticom.com and your email address to yourusername@pticom.com.

  • While still on the Properties window, choose "Servers" tab. Change Incoming mail (POP3) to mail.pticom.com and Outgoing mail (SMTP) to smtp.pticom.com. Click on "Apply" then hit the "OK" button.

    If you are subscribed to any newsgroups, please proceed to the next step, otherwise you may stop here.

  • You should be back on the "Internet Accounts" window, now go to "News" tab and highlight news.vzpacifica.net account, click on Properties button to continue. This will bring up a new window "Properties".

  • Under news.vzpacifica.net Properties, change the News account name to news.pticom.com and Email address to yourusername@pticom.com.

  • Click on "Server" tab and modify the Server name to news.pticom.com. Click OK to save your settings.
