Email Migration For Netscape Communicator

This document applies to users using @vzpacifica.net and @gtepacifica.net email addresses only.
  • Open your Netscape program and click on Edit, Mail & Newgroups Account Settings. A new window "Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings" will pop-up.

  • Highlight your vzpacifica.net profile, under the Account Settings main window, change your Account name to yourusername@pticom.com and your e-mail address to yourusername@pticom.com.

  • While still under the Mail & Newsgroups Settings window, choose Server Settings and change the POP Mail Server Name to mail.pticom.com.

  • Highlight Outgoing Server (SMTP) - then change Server Name to smtp.pticom.com. Continue to the next step to modify the newsgroup server settings. If you are not subscribed to any newsgroup servers, you may skip this.

  • Highlight your newsgroup profile news.vzpacifica.net and modify the following fields:

    Account Name: Change to news.pticom.com
    Email Address: Change to yourusername@pticom.com

    Click OK to complete your setup.
