Dialup Setup For iMac
This document covers the information customers may need while using iMac systems. iMac systems have built-in software for connecting to the Internet and this document will explain the necessary steps to create a Dial-up connection to IT&E.
Setting Up the "Remote Access" Connection
- Open up the "Assistants" folder and double click on the "Internet Setup Assistant" icon. Click on "Yes" to continue.

- Click the right arrow to continue.

- You will need to enter in a name for this configuration. Also ensure that modem is checked before continuing. Enter "IT&E" as the name as shown below, and click the right arrow to continue.

- Select the modem you are using from the drop down list. Ensure you have the correct port selected and tone is selected. Click on the right arrow to continue.

- Enter in your local access number, your username and your password in the spaces provided. Once you have done this, click on the right arrow to continue.
- Guam - 647-4483
- Saipan - 682-9367
- Tinian - 433-4638
- Rota - 532-4638

- Ensure that NO is checked and click on the right arrow to continue.

- There is no IP Configuration so ensure NO is selected (unless you subscribed for a static IP) and click on the right arrow to continue.

- Enter the DNS addresses, as well as the Domain Name and then click the right arrow to continue.
- Primary DNS - 202.88.64.52 (dns.gtepacifica.net)
- Secondary DNS - 207.88.64.53 (ns1.micronesiantel.net)
- Alternate DNS - 202.88.64.54 (ns2.micronesiantel.net)

- Enter your email address and your password in the spaces provided and click on the right arrow to continue.

- Enter the POP and ensure you replace "username" with your login name. You will also need to enter the name of the SMTP server. Once you have done this, click on the right arrow to continue.

- Enter the news server address in the space provided and click on the right arrow to continue.

- You have now finished configuring your iMac for connecting to the Internet. To complete your Internet Settings, click "Go Ahead". To connect later, you can either use the "Remote Access" section of the "Control Strip", or you can use the "Remote Access Control Panel".

- You are now set up to connect to the Internet with IT&E!
