What is Roaming to the Philippines?
IT&E Postpaid subscribers can now roam to the Philippines with their own CDMA phone and phone number. While in the Philippines, subscribers can send and receive phone calls and SMS as if they never left the CNMI.

Do I need a Sim Card in order to roam in the Philippines with Bayantel?
No, a SIM card is not required. IT&E subscribers roam in the Philippines on Bayantel's network. CDMA network do not require the use of GSM SIM cards.

Bayantel is one of the many telecommunication providers in the Philippines. Bayantel uses CDMA technology which is the same type of network IT&E uses in the CNMI/Guam.

The roaming rates for voice calls are as follows:

$0.65/min - Calls to Phil. (within)
$0.99/min - Calls to Guam, Saipan & US
$3.80/min - Calls to North Korea (KOR)
$4.80/min - Calls to Norfolk Island (NKF)
$1.75/min - Calls to Rest of the World

The roaming rates for SMS are as follows:

Incoming SMS FREE
Outgoing SMS - $0.25 per message

Landline: Area Code + Phone Number
Cell Phone: 0+ Phone Number

There is no need to dial the US Exit Code (011) or PI Country Code (63).
