- What is Webmail?
Webmail allows you to read and write your email on the Internet web from anywhere at any time. With Webmail, you are no longer restricted to using your PTI and or PTI domain-hosted email from home. You can use your email account on any computer with access to the Internet.
- How can I access PTI's Webmail service?
You only need to launch the web browser, such as Internet Explorer and enter the following address: http//mail.pticom.com/express. Enter your username (or complete email address for domains being hosted by us) and your password and hit the submit button.
- Do I need to be a PTI Internet customer to use Webmail?
Yes. You must be either a dialup or high speed (DSL) Internet customer to use PTI Webmail.
- Do I have to pay extra to use Webmail?
No. The Webmail service is a free enhancement to your PTI Internet Service.
- What Internet package do I need to have to take advantage of Webmail?
You can use Webmail with any Internet package, be it our standard dialup, or DSL plans.
- Can I keep my email contacts in Webmail?
Yes. The Webmail provides an online address book to help you manage your addresses.
- How much storage space do I have with Webmail?
Webmail allows for 20 MB of storage per email account. It is important that you re-delete all of your deleted messages found on your "Deleted Items" folder. Deleting a message from your inbox will just automatically transfer the deleted message on your "Deleted Items" folder which acts as a recycle bin.
- How can I organize my email in Webmail?
Using the Webmail allows you to create and use folders to organize your emails. Once you have moved an email to a folder, you can still download it to a PC. All messages located on your Webmail's Inbox will be automatically be downloaded once you use an email client such as Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.
- Can I use signatures for my emails in Webmail?
Yes. The Personality Section under General tab supports the creation and use of multiple signatures in plain text or HTML format.
- What are the advantages of using Webmail over other online email services?
Webmail was designed with our customers' needs in mind. We offer a secure web platform from which you can access email anywhere in the world. The service is free of charge and part of your Internet services.
Unlike the free email services (Yahoo, Hotmail and others), Webmail does not prevent you from using your favorite POP3 or IMAP email client programs (like Microsoft Outlook Express, Eudora or Netscape Messenger). Mailboxes can also handle up to 20 MB of message space which is much larger than what the free email offerings currently allow.
